Well, quite a lot has been happening at the Nourish HQ. We have a new team member! Welcome, Laura Reece as the Nourish General Manager. She’s as passionate and determined to alleviate hunger and reduce food wastage as we are. Laura grew up in Australia and has always wanted to a part of a team that is helping to change Trinidad and Tobago for the better. We’re glad to have her on board and look forward to progressing and achieving our goals, together.

To add to that, we are pleased to say that we have now distributed enough food to provide c. 68,000 meals, which equates to about 275 meals a day to our partner charities!

World Food Day
Donation Drive

As you may know, Massy is one of our main donors, and we can thankfully say that we have recently signed on another two of their stores. The Massy team have been so enthusiastic and eager to help in any way they can and we really appreciate their weekly donations. So we decided to partner with Massy to launch a national Food Drive to celebrate World Food Day on 16th October. We will be setting up in Massy stores across Trinidad and shoppers will have a chance to donate an item from their shopping cart to feed people in need.

A significant proportion of food wastage occurs at the start and end of the food chain, so with the help of Massy’s customers, we’re tackling the end and shining a spotlight on food waste.
